Biography

Having permanent slots at Club Parking, the afterhours club Circus Afterhours and lounge  restaurant Le Saloon, they are also known for getting crowds going at underground clubs such as the Club UN and le Salon Daomé. They were recently picked-up by the Unison Agency which is based out of Mexico, this is the same agency that works with David Guetta. The duo has also seen their first podcast climb to a No. 2 spot in Canada in late January, right behind Tiesto’s.

In order to perfect and refine their original material which is infused with the burning energy that sets them apart, they have built their own production studio. The duo is sponsored by the hip and trendsetting clothing line Jack and Jones. They’ve injected their tribal and techouse sound into more than 15 000 electronic music junkies at Playa del Carmen in January during the BPM festival. The interest and “buzz” their performances create will lead one to believe that DJs Paskal & Vesselinov have been at it together for years, but in fact their story is just beginning.

Born respectively the 18th May 1978 and the 11th February 1986, Pascal Bisaillon and Stephan Vesselinov are Montreal natives who first met in the October of 2008. Pascal was obsessed with music at an early age, dreams of being a DJ had begun to surface, but he was hesitant to jump into this domain. Having studied sound engineering at the S.A.E. College in Los Angeles (class of 2007) and having acquired a substantial amount of experience behind the mixing board (he’d been a DJ since 2001), Stephan pulled Pascal into his universe and introduced the young recruit to the ins and outs of the profession. Determined to excel, Pascal listened, played and mixed day and night in order to catch up to Stephan’s level of expertise.  He rose to the task at hand, using his undeniable talent and the precious teachings of his mentor. A year had passed since the two first met, Paskal & Vesselinov got the chance to showcase their talent, opening for David Morales at Parking. Their set was a huge success and it is during this evening that one of the main organisers of the BPM Festival was blown away by the duo’s unique and well-crafted sound. It is only a few weeks later, that they travelled to Mexico for the 2010 edition of the festival. The same thing occured in 2011, as Paskal & Vesselinov impressed 15 000 fans of electronic music at the Space Miami party during the BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen.

Once more, Paskal & Vesselinov have confirmed their participation in the prestigious festival’s 2012 Edition. They will also rock the house at the official closing party for the “Bal en Blanc” weekend. Assuredly, Paskal & Vesselinov’s non-conformist rhythms are setting them apart as rising stars. The question remains. Are you ready to jump on board as they soar to the top and help orchestrate a history in the making.
