Raised in a family filled with musicians, artists, and actors, Matthew Furci followed in family footsteps and picked up a love of the arts. At a young age, he developed a taste for music. He bought a drum set, a bass, and a series of electric guitars. From thereon, his passion for music grew and a simple sound on an instrument brought to mind a song. As music trends came and went, electronic music took the forefront. By the age of 15, Matt’s new hobby became, DJ’ing.

At 16, Matthew Furci was already spinning music at private parties, in restaurant/lounges and some small clubs. By the age of 17, he was invited to DJ at a massive event for “Kids Helping Kids,” a fundraiser for charity. His career then took flight and by 18 years of age he began DJ’ing in some of Montreal’s finest clubs, such as Clubs 1234, 737, Cafeteria, Commission Des Liqueurs, Entourage, Imperial Room, Ivy, La Mouche, Suco, Theatro, Traffik, Pure, and many more. Success increased his passion for music and his desire to dabble in new genres and styles. He began to explore the special stylings of underground music and Afterhours clubs. He developed a unique sound of Minimal and Techno music and made it his own. Within a very brief time after developing his own sound, he was DJ’ing at a rave, followed by a gig at DJ Mag’s #19 best Afterhours club in the world, Circus Afterhours.

Matthew Furci has now started to produce music, both remixes and originals. He has become a well-known and highly appreciated player within the heart of Montreal’s night scene. Within the past year, he ranked in the top 5 techno DJ’s for the Dark Knights competition and has recently been signed to HI TEK RECORDS for his techno productions. His goals are to ensure that Montreal’s reputation for extraordinary nightlife and party experiences remains second to none. Matt hits his high note when he sees his crowds of fans jump and pump their fists until their arms are sore. He strives for the perfect beat, the perfect sound, the perfect party extravaganza…..nothing less.
